After 3 weekends of battling it out on the soccer field, the TVSA Hawks GU12 White team has claimed the title of State Cup Governor's Division Champions! After making it out of their bracket, the team went to the knockout rounds, having to win every game to advance. In the round of 32, the Hawks came out on top with a 3-1 win against SLO Storm. Moving on to the round of 16, a 3-2 win over Olimpia Soccer Club advanced the Hawks to the quarter final. Hawks won their quarter final game, 2-1, knocking out La Mirada Soccer Association. The semi-final game was played against Carlsbad Wave FC Black, where the Hawks proved themselves once again with a 3-2 win, putting them in the championship game. The championship game was played against Exiles White & was a fight to the finish. With a score of 2-2, the girls went into overtime & finished with Hawks winning in pk's. Hawks U12 are very proud to bring home the trophy to Temecula and be the number 1 team out of 64 in the tournament, it is a huge accomplishment & wonderful experience that we will never forget. We look forward to what the next year brings us as Hawks Red! Congratulations to the girls as well as the coaches, Charlie Schreck and Jenny Blumenthal. The two dates are as follows:May 19th, 2012 - 10AM to 12PM - Harveston Community ParkJune 2nd, 2012 - 9AM to 2PM - Ronald Reagan Sports ParkThe fees will be $95 for the first child and $85 for each additional sibling signed up at the same time. Non-residents must pay an additional $10 per child. We accept cash and checks only. After June 30th, players will be put on a waiting list. Players who are put on the waiting list are subject to an additional $20 fee if they are placed on a team. First time players in TVSA must provide proof of age at registration, in the form of a government issued birth certificate or passport (copies acceptable). We will return the documentation after verification. Returning players do not require proof of age. If you want to get a jump start on the registration form, you may fill out the form online by clicking here. After filling out the form, print just one copy, sign it and then bring it with you to the registration.Minimum age is 4 years old by 7/31/2012. The maximum age is 17 as of the same date. Fall practice will commence in August and the games will start at the end of August and run thru about mid November. Anyone who is interested in coaching in the Fall season must also fill out a Program Administrator Registration Form. This can also be downloaded and filled out online. After filling out the form, print one copy, sign it and bring it with you to the registration. We always need coaches so please consider helping us out in the Fall. If you are not sure, go ahead and still select Coach on the player registration form and we will be sure to contact you later on in case you change your mind.
