TVSA Hawks Competitive 2012 Tryouts (updated 02/01/2012 at 11:39 PM)

TVSA Hawks will be holding tryouts for the all divisions February 13th through the 16th. The schedule for tryouts will be as follows:

U7 through U11 Dates

  • GIRLS U7, U8, U9, U10 and U11 - Monday (2/13) and Wednesday (2/15)
  • BOYS U7, U8, U9, U10 and U11 - Tuesday (2/14) and Thursday (2/16)

Check-in from 4:30PM - 5:00PM. Tryouts from 5:00PM - 6:30PM

U12 through U14 Dates

  • GIRLS U12, U13 and U14 - Monday (2/13) and Wednesday (2/15)
  • BOYS U12, U13 and U14 - Tuesday (2/14) and Thursday (2/16)

Check-in from 6:30PM - 7:00PM. Tryouts from 7:00PM - 8:30PM.

All sessions will be held at the Patricia H. Birdsall Sports Park Soccer Fields. All participants must bring cleats, shin guards and water, and have a parent or guardian complete a consent form. Please bring the consent form with you to tryouts. You may download the form from the competitive website at www.tvsahawks.com. Coaches recommend that players attend both days of tryouts. Spring 2012 Registration (updated 02/01/2012 at 11:14 PM)

Did you miss one of our registration dates for Spring? Not to worry as we will still accept your registration at the TVSA office [map]. You may turn in the registration form any time between 9AM and 4PM, Monday through Friday. Avoid the late fees by registering before February 7th otherwise prices will increase by $10. The price will increase by $20 on March 1st.

The cost for the Spring 2012 season will be $60 per child ($25 for TOPS) and includes a full uniform (jersey, shorts and socks). There will not be any sibling discount. Non-Temecula residents must pay an additional $10 per child (click here to see if you are outside the city limits). We accept payment in the form of cash or check only. If you want to get a jump start on the registration form, you may fill out the form online by clicking here. After filling out the form, print one copy, sign it and then bring it with you.

The season will tentatively start on Saturday, March 31st, 2012 and end on Saturday, May 19, 2012. These dates are subject to change. All Spring teams will be coed. Qualifying children must be four years of age by July 31st, 2011. New players must provide a birth certificate in order to show proof of age. This requirement is optional for returning players who played in the Fall season.

Anyone who is interested in coaching in the Spring season must also fill out a Program Administrator Registration Form. This form can be downloaded and filled out online. After filling out the form, print one copy, sign it and bring it with you to the registration.

Cal South E License Class (updated 01/27/2012 at 09:52 AM)

TVSA is pleased to announce that we will host an “E” license coaching class on March 17 & 18 at Harveston Center. Please be sure and visit www.calsouth.com to register. We would like to fill this class with a majority of TVSA coaches. Please understand that you must register in advance via the Calsouth website and same day entries are not accepted.

The “E” License is mandatory for Commissioner’s Cup in the  U12, U14 and U18 divisions. 

"E" License 

The "E" License is an entry-level course which is mandatory for all competitive coaches. This 18-hour course combines field and classroom instruction in intermediate coaching and teaching methodology. This is a Pass/Fail Course.

  • Methods of coaching
  • Team administration and risk management
  • Prevention and care of injuries
  • Coaching technique
  • Coaching tactics
  • Laws of the Game
  • Principles of attack and defense
  • Small-sided games

Prerequisites:

  • Minimum age - 18 years old

Course Length: 18 hours of instruction

  • 6 hours classroom
  • 12 hours field

Testing:

  • Written

Cost:

  • $95 per person

All Candidates will receive the USSF "E" Course workbook and a Nike t-shirt at a retail value of $30.

Trash

Just a gentle reminder to please be considerate of your surroundings and to others on game day and pickup your area after each game. If you see a team leaving their side of the field without picking up their trash, please notify a league official at the field or contact us via the website.

TVSA Needs Volunteers

TVSA is always looking for new volunteers. The TVSA recreational and TOPS divisions are run solely by volunteers. We are dedicated to creating a fun, safe and educational experience for all of the young children that participate in our organization. Making this happen requires a special team of people.
